EDITOR'S LETTER

Summer is upon us now, and as we look forward to the sunshine and warmer weather, we’ve got a great new issue of the Wellburn Post for you. We’ve packed it full of fantastic news, features, competitions and much, much more.

We take a look back and join in the nations celebration of the Queens 90th birthday (pg8), and we see how she’s helped shape our country. As usual, we’ve reviewed some of our favourite literary offerings and in this issue, we’ve added in some brain teasers too (pg12).

With the nice weather and long sunny days approaching, we’ve also taken a look at some of the regions best walks. All remarkably close and some on your doorstep. We’ll be taking our residents on daytrips to explore some of them and hope you get the chance to get out and about to enjoy them too.

We’re also taking you down memory lane, with a look back at 1966. No prizes for guessing one of the famous moments. And for all of you living in and around York, we have a competition winner that will be close to your heart. But for now, sit back, relax, and enjoy reading. And remember, if you like what you read, or want to contribute something to the next issue, please get in touch with us.
